Our typical audition schedule includes auditions in May and June for joining the choir with camp in August. However, auditions can be scheduled at other times throughout the year. Call the choir office at (704) 749-6146 or e-mail kjohnson@st-peters.org to schedule an audition appointment.

Auditioning for the Boys and Girls Choirs

• No experience is expected to enter the Town Choirs (approximate ages 7 – 10).
  
• Some music and vocal skills are expected for the Touring Choirs (approximate ages 9 – 13).
  
• Audition includes singing, reading, rhythm clapping and conversation about child's interests.

Auditioning for The Mastersingers Choir:

• Eligible candidates are boys with changed voices and girls in high school
  
• Sing a prepared solo
  
• Sight sing an unknown piece of music
  
• Successfully demonstrate music theory knowledge
  
• Demonstrate ability to make long term commitment
  
• Demonstrate high level of self-discipline
